The Maintenance Technician II performs general and preventative maintenance of all equipment, physical structures and landscaping in compliance with corporate/franchise standards to protect the asset, ensure optimum operations and maximize guest satisfaction. STATUS: Full-time SCHEDULE: Variable schedule, Monday – Sunday, 9am – 5pm, must be available weekends and holidays RATE OF PAY: $19.50 to $21.25 per hour/DOE SUPPLEMENTAL PAY: Individual incentives and Bonus Programs BENEFITS AND PERKS: Paid Time Off & Holiday Pay Paycheck Advancement Program Hotel Travel Discounts Supplemental Insurance Employee Assistance Program For eligible employees: Insurance - Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and AD&D 401(k) Plan with Employer Match QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of: Basic working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting and carpentry required. Familiarity with building systems including fire protection equipment, fire panel and procedures, boiler, and HVAC systems. Wall paper and carpet repair skills preferred. Skills and Ability to: Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, and complete routine reports and logs. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed. Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. Monitor and review information from materials, events, or the environment to detect or assess problems. Analyze information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems. Provide information to supervisors and co-workers by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. Communicate effectively in a courteous manner with guests and coworkers and maintain positive guest relations at all times. Add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of weight, volume and distance. Work independently and as part of a team to complete daily activities. Meet attendance requirements with dependability and consistency. Manage one’s time in order to meet productivity standards. Education and Experience: Three years’ experience in building maintenance or equivalent combination of experience and education. Previous experience in hospitality at a similarly sized property highly preferred. Previous preventative maintenance experience preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must be able to see, walk, stand, bend, climb, balance, lift, carry, crouch, kneel, push and pull. Physical strength and manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment and perform required duties.
