Prog/Groove Rock/Metal bassist looking to start a project

Early 30's bassist looking to start a project. Bass influences include Tool, Rush, Alice in Chains and Muse. Looking to collaborate with a rock/metal guitarist and/or drummer. I have prior experience performing and recording with death metal acts, but with age, now more interested in the proggy, groovier metal acts. I have no shortage of effects pedals that I love to use (where the Tool and Muse Influences come in) to bring diverse elements to the sounds and sonics of the music. Ideally, I'd like to be in a band with one guitar player and a drummer to create a 3-piece instrumental section. I don't want to share the rhythm section with a rhythm guitarist, I've always liked the dynamics of a three piece (singer can be a fourth) and the way the instrumentalists can compliment one another. Looking to jam or exchange ideas by winter time, possibly remotely. I have plenty of melodies and rhythms written already. Seattle only.
