Our Military has become the very thing that exiting President Eisenhower warned us about. It has taken its role in protecting American and become an ogre that extorts us instead. Billions of dollars in cash literally disappeared in Afghanistan $$$$$$$$$$ BILLIONS! No body knows where it went but there were a lot of contractors that became multi-millionaires. Corrupt builders built buildings the Afghanis didn’t need, others built them an airline with planes they were incapable of either servicing or flying, there is one instance where the local commander was brothers with a leader of a Taliban group that blew up a bridge every time it was rebuilt so they could get more money. Money was paid to keep the locals”loyal”, more $$$ was paid to “ghost soldiers” that did not exist, and even more cash shoveled into 4 cars when Ghani fled the country with his $100 million, they could not put it all in the helicopter and millions in bags were left on the helipad! That is a very slight taste of 20 years of republicans cronies corruption involved in Afghanistan. Makes me want to puke, but I’ll vote out every republican locally and nationally forever instead.
