Press release from the City of Syracuse: September 3, 2021 After a four month reconstruction project, Mayor Walsh helped reopen the West Colvin Street bridge over Onondaga Creek. The bridge between Kirk Park Drive and Onondaga Creek Parkway now has a new high performance surface engineered to last 70 years. That's great news. Even better is how this project brought our community together. Each week during this project, Candy Edwards and the children from her daycare around the corner from the bridge brought lunch to the construction crew. Today, the work crew invited Candy and the kids to have the honor of cutting the ribbon to reopen the bridge. It was a joyful neighborhood celebration.
