Description
BIRMINGHAM, AL — Two people were killed in a shooting at an east Birmingham business Saturday. The shooting occurred just after 4 p.m. at Superior for Men at 9164 Parkway East.
The preliminary investigation suggests an argument took place inside the business and escalated into gunfire. The victims have been identified as Cornelius Ja'Shawn Hilliard, 21, and Reginald Curtis Crawford Jr., 26. Officers located two additional male victims on the scene who were wounded by gunfire from inside of the business, police said.
Officer Truman Fitzgerald of the Birmingham Police Department said police began a search for four suspects in the shooting, and after an attempted traffic stop on the suspect vehicle turned into a high-speed pursuit, the suspect vehicle wrecked near Tarrant-Huffman Road at Linthicum Street in Tarrant.
Fitzgerald said officers were able to take three men into custody shortly after the chase. A fourth male suspect fled the area on foot after the wreck, and is still at large.
The fourth suspect is described as a: black male, brown complexion, wearing a white t-shirt with a black emblem near the collar, black pants, and black shoes. He is presumed to be armed. Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact the Birmingham Police Department at 205-254-1764.
