Position Summary: Responsible for all aspects of shipping, receiving, material handling by performing the following duties. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Prepares customer shipments accurately according to pick tickets by lifting, packaging, weighing and recording pertinent shipping information on pick ticket for internal use. Contacts freight companies for pick-ups, deliveries, discrepancies and damaged shipments. Maintains warehouse shelves and areas in a clean, organized manner. Move or expedite material to proper department or place in temporary storage. Check, count and weigh a variety of incoming parts, materials and supplies to verify items and quantities shipped. Examine incoming shipments for damaged or defective items following standard procedures. Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment. Deliver or route materials to departments, using work devices, such as hand truck, conveyor, or sorting bins. Unload, move and store a variety of materials, parts or products; unload and move incoming materials between departments following job routing instructions. Fill pick list orders from storage areas and warehouse stock and deliver to designated department. Operate forklifts/pallet jacks as needed to unload, move materials and stack loaded pallets. Work with warehouse lead to deliver raw materials to workcenters as per job schedule. Transfer job Work-In-Process from workcenter to workcenter as per job schedule. Enter operation movement in computer system. Adept at organizing, palletizing and staging materials to maximize material flow into and between production areas. Cross-trained on inventory control procedures, M2M processes and KRS record-keeping systems. Participate in ABC cycle count program. Perform other job related duties and special projects as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and other Abilities: Effective oral and written communication skills. Time management skills. High level of organization and the ability to keep timelines and due dates. Demonstrates good judgment and decision making based on information given. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to operate forklift, pallet jack and rolling ladders. Clean driving record Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; one to two years of work related experience. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.
