Description of Associate Pet Sitter Position: The Royal Touch Pet Sitting is a professional pet sitting service which provides pet care at clients’ homes. Visits are scheduled 1-4 times daily while pet owners are away. Responsibilities include: feeding, changing water, taking dogs for walks or letting them outside, scooping litter boxes, petting, brushing, playing with the pets. Our advertisement states that “we specialize in getting to know them.” We also offer convenience services such as bringing in newspaper and mail, adjusting lights, watering plants and set security systems. Most visits are 25-30 minutes in length. Work assignments vary from day to day. At times, the associate will conduct introductory meetings with clients at the clients’ homes. Occasionally, the associate might need to run errands to pick up extra food or medicine or transport a sick pet to a veterinary clinic. The associate is also expected to be available for key and service contract transfers. Our Related Services (listed in brochure) sometimes offer additional opportunities for work and expanded responsibilities. Applicants who are invited to interview will have an opportunity to express interest (or no interest) in those Related Services. This occupation can be very rewarding personally and a lot of fun!
