Hello, I am looking for a German Shepherd for use as a service animal, preferably younger than 1 year as that’s the best time to train them - though I am open to older if they are still trainable and get along with other dogs and are safe around babies. My heart is really set on a German Shepherd, but I am also open to other intelligent dog breeds that would do well with this sort of thing like a Standard Poodle, Great Dane, etc. I will be living in an apartment but we do go to dog parks (my partner has a service animal) frequently and hike 2+ times a week. We are set to move within this month which is why I am looking for a dog without a rehoming fee. I can provide vet references though.
