Exciting times on the soccer pitch at Newton South. Our girls' squad is ranked #7 in the Boston Globe's pre-season poll, with Junior midfielder-striker Bria Abbiati on the Globe's list of Players to Watch this season.
And, in the Globe's Girls' Soccer notebook this week, Sophomore goalie Amanda Cosgrove gets a big shout-out, along with Lions alums Olivia Dubin (Holy Cross), Lottie McLeod (WPI) and Grace Penna (Union).
A great tribute to the program and to all their teammates!
