The great republican conundrum of 2024

Is it too early for republicans to start thinking about the 2024 election. Most think not. Will Donald Trump run again. With his support dwindling a bit since the last election, it appears that many republicans are over Trump. Here is the problem for the GOP. Trump supporters love the guy and want him back. But traditional conservatives do NOT love Trump. Traditional conservatives signed on to Trump in 2016 because the was the only chance of beating Hillary. But Trump is NOT a traditional conservative. So the GOP is divided on Trump 2024 or Not Trump 2024. It seems prudent for the traditional republicans to find a solid candidate that is not Trump sooner rather than later. The GOP needs a clear identity going in to the next election or they will surely lose. So who will win. Team Trumpers? Or traditional Republicans? Personally, I think the Trump fad may be over. As an independent voter, as will every election, I will evaluate all candidates when my ballot arrives.
