Regardless of religious beliefs there's a general humanitarian acceptance that all life is scared even convicted murderers who in many states can't be executed. The debate has been about the sanctity of life of unborn innocent children and the Texas law does not prohibit all abortions but limits them other than for medical reasons to before the unborn have a heartbeat and would painfully suffer being killed. The right to choose what one does with their body ends when it affects others, you can't knowingly pass on diseases or harm others violently then claim it's your right because it's your body you were using, therefore limits have always applied. It's a strawman argument that the limitations are based on extreme religious beliefs because if they were then any abortion would be deemed illegal and the Texas law doesn't provide for that. I get it that for the most part it's the extreme abortion fanatics that glorify the deaths of unborn children as a woman's right who are the most upset and those that have turned abortions into a cottage industry. Mask mandates are an entirely other subject and trying to use it as an analogy is absurd. If you follow the science then you need to accept the fact study after study find wearing a mask has only a 10% chance of preventing catching or transmitting covid and is little better than carrying a rabbit's foot for protection. Other medical studies show that whether you're vaccinated or not you still have the same chance of being infected or transmitting covid, vaccination only limits the severity of the symptoms and effects of the virus. Don't let your liberalism be a replacement for religious belief. 64% or women in Texas want the right to choose what they do with their body. These women do not want religion forced upon them. Yet Gov. Abbott took it non himself to serve his won religious extremist agenda. Political leader are supposed to represent the majority of people at all times. Someone should relay this concept to Abbott. Freedom of religion is a constitutional right. Yet Abbott and the supreme court are forcing their religion upon others. Every American should be afraid of such behavior. Abbott does not want the gov to choose if mask are required but he wants gov to choose what happens with a woman's reproductive system.
