You don't think people of color can be racist against their own kind? It happens all the time. I went to high school with a guy whom was born in Japan and became a skinhead at 17.
remember, racists come in all colors and sizes. Simple mindedness is a requirement to be racist. So we are no talking about an intelligent demographic of people here. This simple minded prerequisite is why so many rednecks and hicks are racists. Many of these people have a limited intellect that predisposes them to racist views. This is not a dig or insult. Just a personal observation.
