Scorched Earth Armageddon is in search of a highly skilled drummer. We are a meld of 1990's Swedish Death Metal and Modern Death Metal ranging from mid-tempo grooves to high velocity blasts. We seek a world-class drummer who can not only hold their own but push musically, as well. OPEN AUDITIONS THE IDEAL DRUMMER - Has reliable transportation - Is free of narcotic addiction - Has a solid understanding of metal drum fundamentals - Is hungry for success and always striving to improve their talents/skills - Plays drums as a way of life - it is NOT a hobby - Aspires to play professional - locally and over the road (touring) - Is familiar with 1990's Swedish and Modern styles of death metal (Dismember, Entombed, At the Gates, Carcass, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Bloodshot Dawn, Aborted, Blood Red Throne, etc.) - Has the ability to play at high tempos cleanly. - Understands the importance of a metronome and can communicate what's being played (ex. 16ths over 8ths at x BPM) - Ready to tour - Studio experience not a requirement but is preferred. - Ability to read drum notation preferred.
