Moon Festival is coming, it is a traditional festival that celebrates harvest and reunion. Please join me to make these delicious mooncakes! Hello everyone! Moon Festival is coming, it falls on September 21 this year. It is one of the most celebrated traditional festivals, which celebrates reunion, harvest and harmony. Come join me to make delicious snow skin mooncakes. Bring friends, family & your colleagues. BONUS: There will be no eating/drinking indoor during the event. However, you'll get a special complimentary mooncake + however many pieces you make at the event. Ingredients of the mooncakes: glutinous rice flour, rice flour, cornstarch, milk/condensed milk, coconut oil+milk, peanut oil, beans, yam, beets, lotus seeds, sugar, salt, water, food color/flavor and (potentially also) matcha powder. Please let me know if you have concerns at least 2 days before your event. I will try my best to find substitutes if possible. 10% of proceeds will go to a local nonprofit org (Ascending Flow) to help underprivileged youths to cope and overcome barriers & rise through challenges. You don't need any previous cooking experience. I will provide all the ingredients and tools you need. It will be a very joyful and memorable experience. Fun way to spend a Sat evening learning something new, with friends and family, over delicious and beautiful cultural treats. I very much look forward to meeting you :) Cheers, Shi A few notes about the event: 1) All participants, including young children, will wear masks throughout the entire event. This is to protect yourselves and others around us. 2) There will be no eating/drinking indoor during the event. That way, we can all keep our masks up the whole time. It is the little gesture like this that makes a difference :) . 3) I strongly recommend everyone to get vaccinated. I am fully vaccinated since May -- I feel great and protected. 4) I have reduced the max participation to <30% of the capacity of The Encorepreneur Cafe. We will have a good spacing between each other. Currently I am expecting 5-10 guests (no more than 15) per event. So plenty of room around us in this big space. 5) It will be street-parking. Free parking after 6 pm.
