As part of THE 9/11 LESSON: Celebrating Real-Life Superheroes! project, Global Game Changers Student Empowerment Program will host a free community event at Paristown in Louisville, KY, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021. This 20th anniversary commemorative event, titled , will be geared toward families and open to the public at no cost.
The goals for this event are to recognize local first responders and military members for their service, honor the real-life superheroes of 9/11, boost community engagement, and provide families with a safe, educational space to address the difficult subject of the September 11 attacks. There will be family focused, engaging and interactive activities, first responders showcase of vehicles, entertainment by American Idol's Alex Miller, Heather French Henry, and The Real Young Prodigies, food, and much more!
Through this engaging experience, parents can use Global Game Changers’ educational activities and resources to teach their families about 9/11 and build a sense of patriotism in their children. By working with the community in this way, GGC hopes to nurture both adult and child engagement in service to others while supporting the family unit.
