Contemporary poetry reading night in the Hungarian Cultural Center New York.
Gabor G Gyukics is a Budapest born Hungarian-American poet, translator, author of 11 books of poetry in five languages, 1 book of prose and 17 books of translations, an anthology of North American Indigenous poets in Hungarian published by Scolar Press in Budapest in 2015, and a brand new Contemporary Hungarian Poetry Anthology in English titled They’ll be Good for Seed published by White Pine Press in 2021. He was honored with the Hungarian Beat Poet Laureate Lifetime award in September 2020 by the National Beat Poetry Foundation, Inc. based in Connecticut.

During his 2021 tour in the US, Gabor introduces two books of poetry. A hermit has no plural was published by Singing Bone Press in 2015. The anthology They’ll be Good for Seed includes 16 contemporary poets, 8 women and 8 men between the ages of 35 and 63, compiled and translated into English by Gabor G Gyukics.
The program will be held at the Hungarian Cultural Center New York, 227 East 52nd Street, New York, 10022 on September 8 WED, 2021 between 6.30 - 9.30 pm.

6.30 pm: Gate opening
7-7.10 pm: Opening remarks
7.10-8 pm: Reading and book introduction by Gabor Gyukics
9.30 pm: End of the event
Wearing a mask during the event and showing your proof of COVID vaccination at the entry is mandatory.
