1 Killed, 2 Injured In Pursuit Involving Trafficking Suspect

LOS ANGELES, CA — A human trafficking suspect led police on a chase that ended with a crash that killed a bystander and critically injured two others near Koreatown Thursday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The chase began shortly after 11:30 p.m. Thursday when officers from the Los Angeles Police Department's Hollywood Division's Vice Unit began pursed a human trafficking suspect, according to the LAPD. It ended at 11:45 p.m. when the suspect collided with two uninvolved vehicles near Wilton Place and Sixth Street near Koreatown, LAPD Officer Jeff Lee told City News Service. A bystander in one of the other vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene and two in the other vehicle were taken to a hospital and were in critical condition, Lee said. The suspect, who CBS 2 reported was suspected of human trafficking, was taken into custody at the scene and transported to a hospital in unknown condition.
