BEVERLY HILLS, CA — With just one weekend left to view the Sing for Hope pianos, here are some highlights from their time in Beverly Hills and your last chances to catch them in action. Sing for Hope, a nonprofit that uses art to advocate for various causes in partnership with community organizations, brought 16 local artist-designed pianos to Beverly Hills this summer. The pianos have been scattered around Beverly Hills since Aug. 5 and will remain around the city until Sept. 6. In Case You Missed It The pianos have been at various public locations around the city, including Roxbury Park, Will Rogers Park, the Wallis and City Hall. Passersby have sat to play, sing, admire artwork and enjoy one of the 14 pop-up concert featuring local musicians that have been hosted by Sing for Hope and local organizations. The concerts have featured performances by community staples such as Inna Faliks, the head of the piano department at the University of California, Los Angeles. The performances have also benefited causes such as the Kara Love Project. Last Chance Saturday, 3 p.m. at Beverly Hills Conference and Visitors Bureau Catch pianist Daniel Wang on a black and white decorated piano by artist Sheila Darcey. This piano will ultimately be donated to Montebello Gardens Elementary School when the program ends. Saturday, 6 p.m. at Beverly Hills City Hall Councilmember John Mirisch — who, it turns out, is a baritone — and Lucy Yates will do an "Oliver!" singalong on a colorful floral piano. The piano, decorated by Laishan Mui Ito, will be donated to Dorris Place Elementary School. Saturday, 7 p.m. at Two Rodeo R&B singer-songwriter Anima Buddafly will perform on a vibrant hot pink piano with gold detailing decorated by Punk Me Tender. The piano will ultimately make its way to Greenwood Elementary School. Sunday, 3 p.m. at Beverly Cañon Gardens Chloé Vaught will sing to the piano playing of Lucy Yates, who has already played at a Sing for Hope concert. The piano, which is covered in bright waves and spots, will move to George Washington Carver Middle School come Sept. 6. Monday, 4 p.m. Beverly Cañon Gardens Closing out the program will be pianist Lukasz Yoder, pianist Ory Shihor and Finn Sagal and Alex Barsom, a duo that has gained fame on TikTok.
