WEST VILLAGE, NY — The number of West Villagers who have received at least one shot of the COVID-19 vaccine is a touch above the average rate seen in Manhattan, and more than 10 percent higher than the citywide average. 80.47 percent of all West Village residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and 74.96 percent are fully vaccinated, according to data from the city. That compares to a citywide one dose rate of 66 percent and a Manhattan average rate of 76 percent. The vaccination rate in the West Village is a good bit higher when just looking at the adult population. The first dose rate for West Village adults is 85.71 percent and 80.09 percent are fully vaccinated. Both of those figures are higher than those seen across the five boroughs and in Manhattan. The two-shot vaccination rate in the West Village's 10014 ZIP Code as of Aug. 13 was 79 percent, meaning it has gone up by just over 1 percent in the last three weeks. In total, 24,410 of all 30,336 West Village residents have received at least one vaccine shot, and 23,678 of 27,625 West Village adults have received at least one shot.
