Choosing to view the world as a democrat or a republican is like living life wearing binoculars 100% of the time. Choosing a political party affiliation my be comforting to people who are un able to think freely for themselves and need input from others to form an opinion of their own. But viewing life through these political party binoculars limits that view and forces a person to focus/fixate on one small perspective. People join political parties for the same reason that people join religions. They need other people to tell them what to think and how to act. Some people find comfort in military life for the same reasons. They like being told what to wear, where to be, and what to do. People who are able to think freely for themselves find political party affiliations limiting. Nothing in this world is as black or white ad the republicans and the democrats would have you believe. There is no perfect bill or measure that solves all problems and pleases every person. The two-party system was designed and intended for our law makers (our government) to control the masses/citizens. Personally, I do not need other people to develop opinions for me. I am capable of making decisions without clinging ton one parry or the other. We will never have true progress in this nation until we eliminate the two party system.
