Apple was rescued from a chicken auction. She was used as a breeder in miami by a man who didnt take cwre of his birds. She was brought to the auction because for years she was plucking her feathers. He didnt bring her to the vet. Who knows what conditions she was in where she was, but she suffered from mites. Apple may originally have been a hand fed bird. She does not bite and can be held. I have bathed her, and treated her, but shes very territorial. I had a different bird fly on her cage and apple didnt like that. apple will come with the cage she is in, as well as the toys in her cage that she likes. she loves mirrors. the vet has told me that most of apples feathers have been plucked at the root, and most likely will not grow back. I am rehoming her at 225$ with everything pictured. thats what i apid for her, minus her treatment.
