Job Title: Custodian, Full Time Reports To: Custodian Manager Classification: Hourly Non-Exempt Hours: 35-40 hours per week. Must be available to work daytime or evening shifts, including weekends. Must provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Follow daily task list and schedule. Tasks may include: o Keeps building and property in clean and orderly condition. o Scrubs, sanitizes, and supplies restroom facilities. o Performs rug and upholstery cleaning o Performs floor cleaning o Cleaning walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors, and sills with soap and other cleansers o Trash and recycling removal o Setting up and breaking down chairs, tables, and equipment in meeting rooms, rehearsal room, and multi-function rooms. o Replacing light bulbs, light maintenance tasks o Receiving deliveries and helping unload and distribute o Assisting with removal and install of theater seats o Checking and securing building at end of night; setting alarm o Report observed security, maintenance, or cleaning issues to management o Other duties as assigned Required Experience and Abilities:  Minimum three years prior custodial experience  Knowledge of proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals  Experience with floor care machines  Previous custodial experience with an arts organization a plus Interactions with Patrons and Public:  This position has responsibilities that are occasionally in proximity to the public or will do work that can be observed by the public.  Direct interaction with the public is possible. Physical Demands:  Perform a variety of physical tasks including but not limited to climbing, stooping, pushing, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, and pulling.  Push, pull, lift, and move up to 40 lbs.  Use of manual dexterity in the operation of tools. Compensation: $15.50 per hour Benefits package includes health, dental, vision, 403B, paid time off, life insurance and commuter spending plan.
