Scams to look out for....

I have read a few posts that are so true about our badly misguided government issues. I want to warn you to never answer the door to any salesman, except the boys or girl scouts. If the person at the door is wearing a Shirt with the Company name on it, it is most likely a third party company, not the actual company that they pretend to represent. ADT security: has a company (Defenders) that will not take no for an answer if you call them to install the basic security system, they will push for a big upgrade or a total system for your house. I called for a basic $29. a month and got pushed to buy a $6,000. system for 4 hours. Look up Yelp reviews of Defenders Security... The salesman, not the installer that is sent out will not stop until you end up screaming at them to leave, then they scam you, by hooking you up anyway. Spectrum Cable: They asked for my fax number to send me a rate sheet and Stole my phone number (after 45 years in my family) and then Frontier shut off my service (after 6 years with no lates, or cancellations, no call). I spent 8 hours a day, for 8 days that it took to get any service back, during the riots that were at the building of my business. I could not protect my employees, or business without knowing what was happening. They had to climb over the counters to get away from the rioters, over and over, then back again for weeks. So I ended up closing permanently, then to have the landlord try to charge me rents for 4 months closed, then no business. Heres the catch: The landlord only gives one month, or month to month leases, then wants rents for all the months of closures.... I am done! 17 years of good business doing nothing but good for the community, taking care of my employees. I did everything to help them trough the years and could only close to protect them. Spectrum and Frontier, Cut off Everything but my cell phone, cut off, for no reason, again, no call. They said that they cannot call me to make sure that it is what the customer wants because of law.... So much is wrong these days. Don't answer the door, unplug your door bell... Don't be kind when the bell rings. This is not the world I believed in. I do not know what to believe in anymore. Not the government, not religion, not family, it is truly sad. Wow, I can't believe I had to say these things. And these are just a few of the scams. I have to go, the robo caller is ringing.
