katie needs a forever home

I am hoping that someone can help this little girl find her “forever” home. Her name is Katie, about 13 years old, still very active, about 38#. Don’t know what breeds she is. Her owner has been in a nursing home with no promise of getting back home to her. He has decided to give her up to a good home. She likes going for walks or a good fenced in yard would be wonderful. She loves being outside to investigate everything. She was always kept in a mobile home with little or no attention. She loves to sit by you and be petted. She always had kitties as friends but has been around a few dogs recently and seems to do well. She is house trained. She is with a foster mom currently but she cannot keep much longer. She deserves a better home that what she had. But unfortunately if I can’t find a permanent home for her, she will have to go to a shelter.
