The Assistant is responsible for tea, tincture, and herbal blend making, as well as completing tasks that support the day to day workflow in the Production Area. We are seeking a talented person to join our team. We are looking for someone who is positive, detail-oriented, and able to work well both independently and with direct supervision. Background in herbal medicine is a plus. Requirements: -Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, perform tasks that require repetitive movements. -Ability to read and write reports and willingness to cross train on various operations. -Reliability and punctuality. -Desire to learn new skills on the job. Daily tasks include: -packing and mixing of teas, tinctures, powders -filtering tinctures and bottling -labeling products -cleaning of the workplace Manufacturing Assistant Job Duties: -Tea packaging, tincture filtering and bottling, product labeling, workplace cleaning, complete bottling, capping, and labeling, cleaning, dishes, sterilization of containers, packaging herbal products, applying a batch number, etc. -Have a strong sense of responsibility and an equally strong sense of teamwork. -Be able to work safely and follow safe work practices and policies. Help ensure coworkers work safely and follow safety requirements. -Follow all applicable procedures, standardized work, control plans, and product specifications. -Support and participate in Employee Engagement activities. -Follow defined cleaning times. -Participate in cross-training to maintain flexibility and adaptability to support resource planning. -Work at a set pace as defined by customer demand and Standardized Work. -Operate manufacturing equipment and use hand tools as needed. -Participate in the definition and improvement of the standard work. -Identify problems, communicate problems to leaders and supervisors. -Support a respectful workplace. -Perform other duties throughout the plant as required as directed by supervision or management. Schedule + Payment Physical presence is required Monday through Friday at Anima Mundi Apothecary (31 Noble st.). The expected committed time is 40 hours a week (Full Time)
