We are Growing! Join the 2021 team of the only Construction Materials Laboratory with MA Concrete Testing Laboratory #001. Work on some of the most iconic buildings in New England and in our 5,000 sq. ft. Construction Materials Testing Laboratory south of Boston. Requirements: one or more of the following Professional Certifications (current): • ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade 1 • Aggregate Testing Technician – Level 1 • Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician – Level 1 or Level 2 • ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician • Masonry Field Testing Technician • Masonry Laboratory Testing Technician • ICC Special Inspector in Reinforced Concrete • Structural Masonry • Structural Welding • Prestressed Concrete • Structural Steel & Welding • Structural Steel and Bolting • AWS Certified Welding Special Inspector • ICC Fireproofing Inspector Qualifications: • Clean record with CORI and other background checks • General computer knowledge (MS-Word, Excel). • A valid drivers’ license with a clean record, and reliable transportation • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, walk/work on uneven surfaces, and work outside in various weather conditions • OSHA-10 Certification (preferred) • Attire appropriate with performing assigned duties safely. Work boots necessary as per ANSI Z-41. Hard hat, safety vest and safety glasses are provided. Basic Duties and Responsibilities: · Observes work in progress to ensure that procedures are followed and materials used conform to specifications • Performs standard testing on construction materials, in field and in Laboratory • Prepares samples of materials for laboratory testing • Maintains daily log of construction and inspection activities and completes reports daily Workdays usually Monday – Friday. May occasionally include night, holiday, and weekend hours. Hourly compensation, seasonal overtime potential. Benefits package.
