Description
Join the National African-American Wellness Agency for AA Wellness Day hosted x MY Fit Fam DC The National African-American Male Wellness Agency (AA Wellness Agency) has spent the last 18 years curating innovative health education programs nationwide engaging nearly 100,000 African-American Males in over 12 U.S. Cities. Here in the District of Columbia, the AA Wellness initiative originally centered on the Annual 5K Walk/Run. This event and its growth in the Nation’s Capital has garnered attention from across the country. After five short years of laying the foundation for AA Agency’s success in market, we are taking full ownership in Saving the Lives of African-American Men and their Families. We have expanded from health and wellness alone to a holistic model inclusive of Fatherhood, Mentorship, Opioid Addiction Prevention and Research. We believe that providing both the Information and the Example is paramount to our impact year over year. Due to the impacts of the Global Pandemic, this year's program will NOT feature a 5K Walk/Run. In it's stead, on Saturday September 18, 2021 just before the Inaugural Truth & Service Football Classic (Howard University vs Hampton University), The National African-American Male Wellness Agency presents AA Wellness Day x MY Fit Fam DC @ Audi Field's Parcel B in SW Washington, DC. MY Fit Fam DC is an interactive program designed to introduce families to the many ways to BE, STAY, and become MORE FIT: Communally, Digitally, Financially, Mentally, and Physically. AA Wellness Day will feature FREE HEALTH SCREENS, FREE COVID TESTS, A VACCINATION SITE, FITNESS ACTIVATIONS, A KIDS ZONE, ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES, VENDORS, DJ's and LIVE ENTERTAINMENT.
