This year’s fundraiser provides an opportunity to look back and bask in the accomplishments made possible by the generosity of our donors. This year’s fundraiser, ILA’s 14th, provides an opportunity for us to look back and bask in the accomplishments made possible by the generosity of our donors. As we emerge from the pandemic, we look back at lessons learned. Never before did it become so clear that preparation is the key to success. Along with the rest of the world, our availability to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as masks, gloves and sanitizers was quite low, but the demand was quite high. As we worked round the clock to source PPEs, our corporate offices became warehouses. The rate at which we used and replenished PPEs was head-spinning. It became evident that PPEs were, and will be, essential to the control of any communicable ailment that may occur in any of our programs. Thus, the need continues. With those thoughts in mind, a portion of the money raised will go towards the purchase of a strategic stockpile of PPEs. We also learned that there are new and innovative ways of providing services to persons in need. To meet those needs, ILA is focused upon adding new services to its array, those that are innovative and efficient, such as Home Health Care and Telehealth. To further this goal, another portion of the money raised will be used for our expansion into new arenas of care.
