Temp Opportunity - Moisture Mapping - Government Contract

Jobs

New Orleans LA

Description

We are an Alabama-based government contractor with an immediate need for disaster relief personnel due to Hurricane Ida. This is a short term temporary opportunity. We already have one crew in place at the Hilton Riverside and have just received an order for a second crew. The task at hand is called moisture mapping – it’s essentially using a small electronic device and a tablet to gauge moisture and humidity in walls to determine if any demo or repair work needs to be done. It’s not very physically intensive and there are no special education/experience requirements – the most important thing is someone who can start ASAP. Hires will be 1099 independent contractors, so the onboarding process is quick but there are no fringe benefits. The pay is $25/hour, with time and half paid for weekends, holidays, and overtime. We will reimburse for mileage or pay for flights for anyone needing to travel to get there, cover the cost of a hotel or Air BNB (whatever we can find), and provide a daily per diem of around $70. In rounding up the first crew, everyone who has done this type of work for us before jumped at the chance when we contacted them earlier this week.
