60 minute Relaxing and Restorative Yoga Class open to all levels. Proceeds from this event will benefit arriving Afghan Refugees in Norcal. Do Good and Feel Good by joining this Women's Charitable Yoga Class to benefit Afghan Refugees arriving in Northern California. If you'd like to attend, please purchase a ticket for the class on Oct 3rd by selecting the ticket type. If you are not able to join and still want to make a donation, you can select the Donation ticket type and make a donation of any amount. NOTE: Due to county requirements for indoor events in the Bay Area, this event requires all participants to show proof of Covid Vaccination at entry time. Day of Event Details Bring your own yoga mat for our Relaxing and Restorative Yoga ClassLearn about the fundraising initiative directly from our representative from International Rescue CommitteeHang out afterwards for some light refreshments and raffles!Most importantly - Do Good, Feel Good!All proceeds from this event will be donated to International Rescue Committee's Soft Landing Fund for arriving Northern California Afghan Refugees. Soft Landing Fund Details The Need: Arriving refugees only receive a one-time amount of $1,125 per person to cover initial basic costs and this amount is the same regardless of where in the country they are resettled. The majority of refugees arriving in Northern California are coming to join family members who are often not yet financially stable themselves. As a result, the refugees served by the International Rescue Committee typically require additional financial support as they get on their feet in the United States. A Solution: You can help! The Soft Landing Fund provides housing assistance for refugees who have arrived in the last six months. 100% of your donation will be disbursed to refugee families in Northern California that are in need of modest support with rent and utilities after their first 30 days.
