Join us at Danny Boy Beer Works for an exciting night of Prohibition-Era cocktails. Brett Butler, Owner of Alcomy Mobile Mixology, will teach you the art and science of creating amazing cocktails from the Roaring 20's and the history behind drinks from the "Gatsby" era. Students will have a unique, immersive opportunity to create and enjoy three delicious drinks, and receive a gift bag with bar swag, mixing tools and sample bottle of Alcomy Elixirs. Adventure out to West Clay and "mix it up" with us for this Prohibition wingding! Cocktails we'll be making: 1. "Bali Bee's Knees," an Indonesian twist on a Prohibition classic, with Gin, Honey, Ginger, Lemon, Turmeric, Lemongrass and Curry Leaf. 2. "Mary Pickford," with Rum, Pineapple, Luxardo Maraschino liqueur and house-made grenadine. 3. "Smoked Old Fashioned," with Bourbon, Alcomy's house-made Old Fashioned mix, Angostura and Orange bitters and cherry wood and rosemary smoke. ** There will be light refreshments available before the class, but if you would like something more substantial, we ask that you arrive at least an hour early to order from Danny Boy's delicious food menu, or wait until the end of class to do so. There will be no food service available in the upstairs bar where the class will take place. Thanks! ** YOU WILL NEED A SECRET PASSWORD TO GAIN ENTRY TO THE CLASS, WHICH WILL BE SENT TO YOU THE DAY OF. YOU WILL NOT BE ADMITTED WITHOUT IT! (Well, you probably will be but just try to remember it : ) A Purdue graduate, Brett has studied and worked in New York City and Los Angeles as a writer, actor and mixologist. After 10 years in L.A., and a brief apprenticeship with famed "cocktail chef" and "Eat Your Drink" author Matthew Biancaniello, he recently moved back to Indy to start his mobile mixology business Alcomy. Each event combines the science of liquid gastronomy with the creative expression of art to celebrate and elevate the human experience.
