General Information
Purebred and mixed breed dogs are welcome in all our classes.Classes are taught using positive reinforcement with toys, treats, play, and praise.Sessions consist of 8 weeks, Basic Obedience I and II will have CGC and CGCA testing on the 8th week.S.T.A.R. Puppy will be 6 weeks with graduation at the end of 6 weeks and then week 7 and 8 will be fun puppy activities and introduction to dog sports and they may choose to take the CGC on week 8 for those who are ready.Fee for eight classes is $85.00. Ask about our discounts for rescue dogs and youth groups.We meet at the Coastal Community & Teachers Credit Union in Corpus Christi, located at 6810 Saratoga Blvd. between Airline and Rodd Field. (Training area is located behind the credit union where the drive-through lanes are.)For safety reasons, a slip or martingale type collar is required on all dogs.
The Obedience Club of Corpus Christi was established in 1964
To disseminate knowledge regarding dog training and to promote training of all dogs.
To hold and support performance events under the rules of the AKC and other dog organizations.
To conduct classes for the training of dogs and their handlers and to provide an opportunity for members to practice with their dogs in preparation for entry of such dogs in performance events.
To promote cooperation and good sportsmanship among its members in the training and exhibition of dogs.
To meet our mission, we hold obedience classes, which are open to the public and we hold 2 obedience trials each year.
