Porter Place will host a petting zoo from 1-3 p.m., on Grandparent’s Day, Sept. 12 at 17833 Harlem Ave., Tinley Park. “Research shows that interaction with animals can make us healthier and happier,” said Meredith Morris, Porter Place community relations director. “Animal visitors increase social engagement all the way around.
