What if it rains or we have other bad weather? We have made arrangements so that if we need to cancel the picnic because of bad weather we will reschedule the event for Sunday, September 26th from 1-3PM. All guests will be notified via email as soon as any decision to reschedule the picnic due to rain or bad weather is made. All tickets will be transferred from the rained out date to the September 26th date without needing to re-register. Are there ID or a minimum age requirement to enter the event? Yes. Due to beer and wine sales available on site, all guests should be prepared to show ID upon arrival. Guests under 21 years old can be admitted if accompanied by an adult. Where do we go when we arrive? Please enter the property via the garden path on West Lake Drive, and head toward check-in area, visible from the street. The driveway to the house will be closed. Please check-in to confirm your reservation, present ID, and get a wrist band. What are my parking options for the event? If you are driving the event, please park on West Lake Drive, on the side of the street opposite of the homes. No parking is permitted in front of the neighbors' homes. The drive way at the garden will be closed. What should I bring into the event? This is an outdoor event. Please dress for the weather and consider wearing shoes appropriate for walking on lawns and garden paths. Some areas of the garden, particularly those away from where dinner will be served, may not be accessible to those with limited mobility. How can I contact the organizer with any questions? Please email [email protected] with any questions. What's the refund policy? No-excuse-needed refunds are available up to 48 hours before the event through the EventBrite webpage. After 48 hours we are unable to process any refund requests, regardless of cause. Refunds are not available on EventBrite fees or Alcoholic Beverage tickets. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? Bringing a ticket (either a print-out or being able to show an electronic copy) is recommended to speed your reservation confirmation, however it is not needed so long as the names on your tickets match the names on your personal identification. Can I update my registration information? Is my registration fee or ticket transferable? You can update your registration information up to 48 hours before the event, including to change the name under which the reservation is registered. This will allow you to transfer the ticket to a friend should you be unable to attend. The City of Oaks Foundation is Raleigh's home-town land conservancy. Closely aligned with Raleigh’s Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department we work to protect and share Raleigh's hidden natural treasures, to keep nature nearby for all to enjoy, and to encourage children to get outside and get active.
