Animals and pets are a special part of our lives, as they give us so much comfort, joy, and unconditional love. Let us bless them! Memorial United Methodist Church, 1726 Pollasky Ave. in Clovis, will celebrate a Blessing of the Animals service on Saturday, September 25 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The service starts at 11 AM and is free, and all pets and people are welcome. Dogs, cats, birds, fish, or other pets must be safely leashed or in an enclosed pet carrier. There also will be general prayers for healing of pets who are ill and honoring the memory of pets that have passed. Pet “parents” also may bring a photo and complete a special blessing card so animals that cannot be present may be blessed by name.
