Conway Regional Health System will host the health system's 14th Annual “Walk to Remember” from 10 am to noon, Saturday, October 16. Conway Regional Health System will host the health system's 14th Annual “Walk to Remember” from 10 am to noon, Saturday, October 16. For the second year, it will be a drive through event to comply with COVID-19 social distancing rules. The event gives families who lost a child, from any stage of pregnancy to one-year of age, an opportunity to honor those children, grieve, and find hope in their lives. As part of the park and pray event, the following activities will be held in remembrance of the children who were lost. Parents may include the name of their child during registration to be read aloud during the ceremony, and a release of balloons will honor the memory of those who were lost. Commemorative signs in the shape of a butterfly, displaying the names of babies whose parents registered their name, will be available for display during the event and then given to families at the conclusion of the event. The event is sponsored by the Conway Regional Perinatal Bereavement Program and is dedicated to the late Mike Smyers and his wife, Jeanne, who helped develop the program after Mike’s family experienced loss.
