Description

This will be a slow ride for beginner Green riders. Just a chill tootle down Tristan's Trail and Red Barn. This no-drop ride, led by Jennifer Clark, will meet at the Lincoln Jr High Parking lot. We will ride the top of Tristan's Trail, then over to Red Barn. We'll take plenty of stops and session any areas that are requested. The total number of riders will be kept low both for safety and to make sure that every rider feels comfortable within the group. No pressure; just fun! Prerequisite for this group ride: completion of the Women of Oz Fundamentals Skills Clinic. You must have a fully functional mountain bike and helmet. ($20 first time rentals available for all WOZ at our preferred bike shop partners. Check www.woznwa.com for more information.) Not sure if this ride is for you? Here is a description of where you should be in your riding skills for this ride: You’ve ridden on the dirt multiple times now and you are starting to get the hang of things. You are now putting those skills from the clinic into play and working on shifting, braking, and body position. Skills you can perform: Level pedals while ridingRiding with one finger over L & R brake leversGetting to know berms (those are those turns with the dirt)Able to ride 60 minutes on easy terrainClimbing a hill on the bike might require a breather break on the way up, and at the top of the hill. (I thought hills were for going down??)It's Cycle September and we want you to ride with us! Register for Cycle September on Love to Ride and log your miles to be in a drawing to win prizes!
