TEWKSBURY, MA — Tewksbury police charged a Billerica man Wednesday with a 7th operating under the influence of drugs offense, among other traffic violations.
Police saw an erratic driver going south on Main Street at 9:18 a.m. Wednesday. The vehicle did not have license plates.
When police stopped the vehicle, the driver Edward Gardner, 51 of Billerica, "showed signs of impairments," the police said. Officers also learned that the driver's license was revoked due to habitual traffic offenses.
Gardner was arrested and charged with operating under the influence and driving violations including driving on a revoked license, marked lanes violation, number plate violation and operating to endanger.
He was due to be arraigned in Lowell District Court Thursday.
All people are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
