WEST HAVEN, CT — In preparation for the Centennial Fireworks show Friday night (Sept. 3) at Bradley Point, West Haven police are reminding residents of several road closures that will be in effect.
Captain Thomas Boulevard will be closed from Kelsey Avenue to Platt Avenue beginning at 2 p.m. There will be food trucks staged in this area.
Ocean Avenue will be closed from Platt Avenue to South Street beginning at 5 p.m.
All side streets off of Ocean Ave and Beach Street will be posted no parking on even side of the roadway.
"Please stay out of the water and fishing is not permitted at this time as a result of the storm that took place this past Wednesday," police wrote in a post on Facebook. "We hope everyone comes out and enjoys the beaches while watching the fireworks tonight! Be safe and let's celebrate the City of West Haven together!"
