ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — With Labor Day falling on a Monday, there will be numerous closings Sept. 6 so that many can enjoy and celebrate the holiday. Anne Arundel County government offices will be closed Monday, as will the court system and all post offices. The North Arundel Aquatic Center, an indoor facility open year-round, will be closed for Labor Day. The Arundel Olympic Swim Center will remain closed through Sept. 13 for maintenance. The Nantucket Pool and Wellfleet Pool will be open, but Labor Day will be their last day of the season. The Y in Pasadena will be open Labor Day from 5 a.m. to noon only. All parks will be open during normal hours. This interactive map shows the parks closest to you. The Anne Arundel County Public Library will be closed Sunday and Monday in recognition of the Labor Day holiday. All landfills and recycling centers will be closed Monday in Anne Arundel County. Monday trash collection will be bumped to Tuesday and Tuesday's pickup will move to Wednesday. A schedule of all Anne Arundel County trash and recycling operations is available here. The County Connector will operate on a Sunday schedule this Monday for Labor Day.
