ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Most Anne Arundel County Public Schools students start class Wednesday or Thursday. Patch wants to see your back-to-school photos. Send your favorite pictures to [email protected] for a chance to be featured in a round-up. Please include this exact wording in your email to give us permission to use your photos: "I [insert first and last name] own the rights to these pictures, and I give Patch permission to publish them." Please also let us know: Who is in the photoHow old they areWhat grade they are startingWhat town they are from (if you are comfortable sharing) This will be the first time that many students have entered a school building since the coronavirus pandemic struck in March 2020. Here is when each grade heads back: Wednesday, Sept. 8 (Grades 1–5, 6 and 9 only.)Thursday, Sept. 9 (Everybody else in grades 1 through 12.)Wednesday, Sept. 8 through Friday, Sept. 17 (Staggered openings for ECI, Pre-K and Kindergarten. See the chart at this link.) Face coverings will be required for all students and staff, regardless of their vaccination status.
