JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO — A deputy shot and killed a man Thursday near Sheridan Boulevard and Interstate 76, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said. The 33-year-old man was standing near a motorcycle on an off ramp around noon. When the deputy approached, the man pulled a gun from his waistband and the deputy fired several shots, the sheriff's office said. The deputy was not injured, the office said. An investigation was underway.
