Man Killed In South Austin Shooting Identified

AUSTIN, TX — A man killed in a late night shooting in south Austin on Aug. 27 has been identified, authorities said. Jesus Alejandro Silas-Trevino, 19, was found around 11:33 p.m. Friday with gunshot wounds at the 1300 block of Southport Drive. Silas-Trevino was later pronounced dead after first responders attempted life-saving measures, officials said. Police said another man was also found on scene with gunshot wounds and is in stable condition at a local hospital. His identity has not been released by authorities. Police are asking anyone with any information or video of the incident to call APD Homicide at (512) 974-8477.
