LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — After remnants of Hurricane Ida slammed New Jersey on Wednesday, many township roads still remain closed as crews work to clean up impacted areas. Here are roads still closed in Lawrence Township: Brunswick Pike northbound: The Trenton freeway section from the Strawberry Street exit to the I-295 interchange. Business Brunswick Pike from Darrah Lane to the I-295 interchange. (Road surface damage) Bakers Basin Road closed from Brunswick Pike to Lawrence Station/Youngs Road. (Still flooded) Whitehead Road at the Trenton Freeway interchange to Sweet Briar (debris in roadway). Carnegie Road off Brunswick Pike (flooding). Carter Road between Van Kirk Road and Carson Road (wire across roadway). Lawrence Road North of Province Line into Princeton (Princeton Police request road remain closed). Princeton Pike north of Province Line Road into Princeton (local traffic only). Brunswick Pike southbound open from the West Windsor border to the Trenton border. On Thursday, Hopewell Township Police confirmed the death of two residents due thunderstorm Ida. No further details were revealed. Mercer County is yet to release a final report on the damage caused by Ida.
