JERSEY CITY, NJ — A boil water advisory has been in place in Jersey City and Hoboken after a water main in Cedar Grove Township was damaged by the heavy rains brought by Hurricane Ida. SUEZ Water planned on opening water distribution sites in Jersey City by 10 a.m. on Friday, but the opening was delayed, leaving residents guessing when they could get free and clean water. The first pallets of water started to arrive just before noon. Water is at Jersey and Newark. Came at 11:45. Yay! Thank you, JC. The order could stay in place until Saturday, pending clear tests. The water distribution sites will include mobile water buffalo stations which will also be positioned at Jersey City locations, which store 150 gallons each and will allow residents to fill jugs, bottles or other storage containers. The locations in Jersey City are as follows: Ward A - Greenville Hospital - 1825 JFK Blvd · Ward B - Belmont and JFK Blvd (Top of Lincoln Park)· Ward C - County Courthouse - 595 Newark Avenue· Ward D - Bowers and Central Avenue (near Michael Yun's former office)· Ward E - Jersey and Newark· Ward F - One Jackson Square (City Hall Annex)
