Murphy's Express Arrest: Police Say Cocaine Dealer Arrested

JOLIET, IL — A Joliet Police Department drug dealing investigation led to an arrest Thursday evening at the Murphy's Express gas station at 2504 West Jefferson St. Everett Cole, who lives in the 400 block of North Hickory Street, was booked into the Will County Jail on six charges of unlawful delivery of controlled substances, two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and one charge of possessing ammunition by a convicted felon. Joliet police said Cole's arrest happened around 7:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Murphy's. Joliet police were in the area as part of an ongoing drug investigation. "While officers were speaking to Cole, officers observed suspected crack cocaine in plain view inside of Cole's vehicle," Joliet police announced. "Cole was placed into custody without incident. A short time later, officers conducted a search warrant upon Cole's residence in the 400 block of Hickory Street at which time a gun magazine and ammunition were located."
