ELMHURST, IL — The TV series, "Chicago PD," filmed Thursday at the Elmhurst Quarry, local police said Friday morning. The show was filming a segment for the current season, which is expected to be out later this year, the police department said in a Facebook post. On hand were "Chicago PD" actors Jason Beghe, Laroyce Hawkins, Jesse Lee Soffer, Marina Squerciati, Patrick Flueger, Tracy Spiridakos, Amy Morton and others, police said. They were there throughout a long day and evening to film the scene. "Our officers who were there said the cast was extremely polite and friendly to everyone," the department said. "In addition, the production staff was very responsive and sensitive to the needs of the nearby residents, who experienced some additional neighborhood activity throughout the day. All in all, it was interesting to watch and we met some very nice people." The department said it hoped the show would return to film in Elmhurst. The show is in its ninth season.
