UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The number of Upper West Siders who have received at least one shot of the COVID-19 vaccine is a touch above the average rate seen in Manhattan, but it is more than 10 percent higher than the citywide average.
77.73 percent of all Upper West Side residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and 72.79 percent are fully vaccinated, according to data from the city.
That compares to a citywide one dose rate of 66 percent and a Manhattan average rate of 76 percent.
The vaccination rate on the UWS is a good bit higher when just looking at the adult population. The first dose rate for Upper West Side adults is 86.12 percent and 81 percent are fully vaccinated.
Both of those figures are higher than those seen across the five boroughs and in Manhattan.
