BIRMINGHAM, AL — Labor Day weekend is upon us, and Week 3 of the high school football season kicked off Thursday night with a handful of teams in the metro area in action. The rest of the Birmingham area schools play Friday night before the long weekend ahead. Some key games this weekend include two undefeated 6A teams facing off as Clay-Chalkville hosts Jasper, a traditional rivalry game in Hoover as the Bucs take on Vestavia Hills and Parker plays Fairfield in a cross-town match-up.
