Out tire technician duties include repairing and installing tires, balancing them, replacing valves, and repairing punctures. • Talking to customers about any issues they are experiencing with tires and wheels. • Inform the customer on available options for replacing and repairing tires, including pricing details • Inspecting and assessing tire tread levels, wear patterns, valve quality, and overall health. • Make recommendations about tire care, appropriate repair treatment or replacement • Provide customers with cost estimates • Install new tires as per the procedure • Inspect tires on vehicles before and after installation • Use diagnostic tests to see if the tires are properly balanced and securely attached • Patch tires to repair cracks or holes in the tire’s tread • Replace individual tire components, such as valve tubes, if required • Perform tire rotations, balancing, and other maintenance tasks • Operate diagnostic tools and equipment for performing tire repair, and replacement work • Oversee tire and tools inventory and inform the management of low stock situations • Ensure all safety protocols are met while working in the shop • Clean and maintain tire repair equipment • Maintain a clean work area Preferred: Mechanic / Sales / Customer Service experience High School Diploma or Equivalent required Tire Tech experience required Resume and Professional References are required Background check required
